10.11. Throttle case

Removal

Arrangement of a big collar of fastening of the rubber pipe connecting the case of a throttle and the sensor of a stream of air

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On models with 6-cylinder SOHC engines remove pressure in fuel system.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. At existence unscrew an arm of draft of a butterfly valve on the sensor of measurement of a stream of air and move it aside.
5. Disconnect a returnable spring and a connecting core of draft from the throttle case. At existence remove draft of the executive mechanism of a speed control of movement of the car from the butterfly valve lever.
6. Mark and disconnect from the throttle case vacuum hoses.
7. Disconnect the electric socket from the butterfly valve switch.
8. Unscrew nuts of fastening of the case of a throttle to an inlet collector.
9. Weaken a big collar on the rubber pipe connecting the case of a throttle and the sensor of a stream of air (see fig. An arrangement of a big collar of fastening of the rubber pipe connecting the case of a throttle and the sensor of a stream of air).
10. On 6-cylinder SOHC engines remove from an inlet collector the fuel highway.
11. On other models unscrew two nuts, fixing the sensor of a stream of air to rubber elements. Unscrew a connecting nut of fastening of a returnable hose in a back part of a regulator of pressure.
12. Being careful, lift the sensor of a stream of air so that it was possible to remove the throttle case.
13. Using a knife, cut off and take the central part of laying of the inlet collector, interfaced to the throttle case.

Installation

Arrangement of the central part of new laying of an inlet collector which it is necessary to cut out and establish on an interfaced surface of the case of a throttle

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments (see fig. An arrangement of the central part of new laying of an inlet collector which it is necessary to cut out and establish on an interfaced surface of the case of a throttle).
2. At replacement of the case of a throttle it is necessary to replace also and the switch of provision of a butterfly valve.
3. From new laying of an inlet collector cut out the central part and establish it on an interfaced surface of the case of a throttle.
4. Tighten nuts of fastening of the case of a throttle the demanded moment.
5. Check that vacuum hoses are established according to earlier put labels.
6. Check and, if necessary, adjust idling turns.
