10.9. Fuel pump

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Gasoline extremely fire - also is explosive, therefore it is necessary to show care at work on any part of fuel system.

Works on fuel system are necessary for making in well aired room for what it is possible to open all windows and doors for draft creation.

At work on fuel system do not use open fire, electric welding and tools, at work with which sparks can be formed. Check that in close proximity to a workplace there is a charged fire extinguisher.

For protection of eyes against fuel hit in them use points. At fuel hit on skin wash out this place a plentiful quantity of water.

The capacity in which there was a fuel, contains pairs of fuel and is potentially explosive.

At work with fuel system observe purity as the dirt which has got to channels of fuel system, can block them that will break normal operation of the engine.


Removal

Models with the unique fuel pump

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The fuel pump is established under the bottom in a back part of the car.
2. Remove pressure in fuel system.
3. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
4. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports.
5. Unscrew screws and remove a protective casing of the fuel pump, the fuel filter and the pressure accumulator (see fig. Unscrewing of screws of fastening of a protective casing of the fuel filter).
6. Mark and disconnect from the fuel pump electric sockets (see fig. An arrangement of the fuel pump on models with the unique pump).
7. Using clips, press the fuel hoses connected to the fuel pump.
8. Disconnect топливопроводы from the fuel pump. When using bayonetny connections remove sealing laying.
9. Unscrew screws, take a fixing belt and remove the fuel pump from an arm.

Models with two identical fuel pumps

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On later models устанавлива ются two identical fuel pumps. Removal of fuel pumps is made similarly, as well as on models with the unique fuel pump. Thus it is necessary to consider that the second fuel pump is established under the first, and they fasten the general belt (see fig. An arrangement of fuel pumps on models with two identical pumps).

Models with primary and secondary fuel pumps

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On later Versatile person models primary and secondary fuel pumps are established. Removal of the secondary fuel pump is made similarly, as well as on models with the unique fuel pump.
2. The primary fuel pump by means of rubber elements fastens over a back part of a case of differential (see fig. Arrangement of the primary fuel pump).
3. Remove pressure in fuel system.
4. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
5. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports.
6. Disconnect fixing belts and remove a protective casing of the fuel pump and an arm.
7. Mark and disconnect from the fuel pump electric sockets.
8. Using clips, press the fuel hoses connected to the primary fuel pump.
9. Disconnect fuel hoses from the fuel pump. When using bayonetny connections remove a sealing ring.
10. Remove the fuel pump from rubber elements of fastenings.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. Check that the fixing belt of the fuel pump is correctly established on an anticorrosive plastic isolating tube.
3. In connections of bayonetny type establish new laying
4. Start the engine and check that from the pipelines connected to the fuel pump there are no fuel leaks.
