18.3. Coupling knot

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At work of coupling the dust which contains asbestos is formed, unhealthy therefore when cleaning coupling do not use the compressed air and do not inhale a dust. Cleaning of details of coupling of a dust make with use of brake liquid or methyl alcohol. After cleaning of details of coupling with use of methyl alcohol or brake liquid wipe details dry.

Removal

Removal of a leading part of coupling from a flywheel

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a transmission
2. Note the provision of leading knot of coupling in relation to a flywheel, using a marker or paint.
3. Gradually in diagonal sequence weaken bolts of fastening of leading knot of coupling, turning each bolt on a turn half until it will be terminated a spring, and bolts can be unscrewed manually.
4. Remove leading knot of coupling and a coupling disk from a flywheel (see fig. Removal of a leading part of coupling from a flywheel). At removal be careful, as the disk of coupling can drop out of a leading part of coupling. Note orientation of a disk of coupling in relation to a flywheel. The bigger ledge of a nave of a disk of coupling should be directed to a transmission.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check overlays of a disk of coupling on wear, mechanical damages or pollution by oil.
2. In the presence of these defects it is necessary to replace a disk of coupling.
3. If frictional slips in a good condition also are not worn-out to grooves, springs of a damper are reliably fixed and zaklepochny connections are not loosened, it is possible to establish a disk of coupling in the car.
4. If the disk of coupling is polluted by oil, check the left oil sealing ring of a cranked shaft or primary shaft of a transmission. If necessary replace sealing rings before installation of a new disk of coupling.
5. Check knot of a leading disk on wear of a press disk, mechanical damages, reliability of zaklepochny connection, damage of a diafragmenny spring of coupling. If the spring of a diaphragm is worn-out or damaged, or there are suspicions that elasticity of a spring changed, it is necessary to replace knot of a leading disk.
6. Check working surfaces of a press disk and a flywheel, interfaced to overlays of a disk of coupling. They should be pure, flat and not have scratches and development.
7. Check press the bearing which should rotate easily, evenly and silently. The working surface of the bearing influencing a press spring, should be smooth, without cracks, local corrosion or development.

Installation

Installation of a disk of coupling on a flywheel
At installation of a disk of coupling on a flywheel an inscription on the disk "engine side" or the smaller party of a nave should be directed to a flywheel.

Opravka use for a centering of a disk of coupling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation of new disks of coupling or a press disk of coupling remove from them anticorrosive protection.
2. At installation of a disk of coupling watch, that on its frictional slip even in insignificant quantities oil did not get. Therefore before installation of a disk of coupling wipe an interfaced surface of a flywheel and a surface of a press disk pure rags, and a disk of coupling establish clean hands.
3. Grease shlitsa in a nave of a disk of coupling with a thin layer of special greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide. Establish a coupling disk on a flywheel so that an inscription on a disk of coupling of "engine side" or the smaller party of a nave were directed to a flywheel (see fig. Installation of a disk of coupling on a flywheel). At installation of a leading part of coupling press a coupling disk to a flywheel.
4. Establish a leading part of coupling, combining labels on a flywheel and a leading part of coupling. Check that adjusting openings on a leading part of coupling were combined with установочны ми pins on a flywheel. Tighten bolts of fastening of a leading part of coupling so that the disk of coupling was pressed, but, at the same time, could move in the parties.
5. Using an opravka or an old primary shaft of a transmission, center a coupling disk concerning a flywheel (see fig. Opravka use for a centering of a disk of coupling).
6. After a centering of a disk of coupling gradually and in diagonal sequence tighten bolts of fastening of a leading part of coupling the demanded moment. Take an opravka from a coupling disk.
7. Grease a shlitsevy part of primary shaft of a transmission and directing plug of the vyzhimny bearing with a thin layer of special greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide.
Prevention

The layer of greasing should be thin and uniform, otherwise at coupling work excessive greasing will be rejected on working surfaces of coupling that can break its work.


8. Establish a transmission.
