19.7. Removal and transmission installation

Removal


Prevention

Removal of a box is complicated by that access to bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine is limited.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Open a cowl and establish it in vertical situation. Establish a thin steel sheet on a partition of a motor compartment for protection of thermoisolation of a partition and tubes of brake system against damages.
2. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
3. On models with an additional heater at removal of a transmission do not damage a hose of supply of the cooling liquid, located in a back part of a motor compartment. Unscrew a pipe for щупа measurements of level of oil in a transmission from a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove an engine mudguard.
5. Merge oil from a transmission.
6. Insert small wooden whetstone between the oil pallet and a cross-piece under the car bottom.
7. Remove an exhaust system.
8. At existence remove a thermal insulation of an exhaust system from the car bottom for access to the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft.
9. Unscrew arms of fastening of an exhaust system from the car bottom (under the driveshaft). Unscrew two bolts and remove an arm of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe from a transmission (see fig. Arrangement of bolts of fastening of an arm of support of a reception exhaust pipe). At existence remove electric wires from an arm on a transmission.
10. Disconnect the driveshaft from a target flange of a transmission.
11. Weaken a nut of fastening of the intermediate bearing of the driveshaft, then weaken, but do not unscrew a nut of fastening of the case of the intermediate bearing and move the driveshaft against the stop back.
12. A jack through wooden whetstone support a transmission.
13. Unscrew a back support of an engine / transmission from the car and transmission bottom and take a support from under the car (see fig. Removal of a back support of an engine / transmission).
14. Unscrew a bolt of fastening and take from a transmission a cable of a drive of a speedometer (see fig. Removal of a cable of a drive of a speedometer from a transmission).
15. Unscrew the working cylinder of coupling from a transmission and, without disconnecting from it a hydraulic tube, move it back from a transmission. Remove plastic laying.
Prevention

On some models removal of the working cylinder of coupling together with a hydraulic tube does not provide sufficient space for transmission removal. In this case before removal of the working cylinder of coupling it is necessary to disconnect from it a hydraulic hose and to merge liquid from hydraulic system of coupling.


16. Working under the car, remove brackets of fastening and disconnect drafts of gear shifting from levers of a choice of transfers.
17. Remove a starter.
18. Check that the transmission reliably is kept by a jack, then lower it so that the engine rested against a bar inserted between the oil pallet and a cross-piece. When lowering a transmission be careful not to damage brake tubes or other elements located on a partition of a motor compartment.
19. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine, leaving from each party of a transmission on one bolt. Access to the top bolts of fastening of a transmission is very limited. For access to these bolts it is necessary to use face wrenches with extension pieces and kardanny connectors. On some models the top bolt of fastening of a transmission to the engine is inaccessible from below. Access to the top bolt is possible on the right side of a motor compartment after performance of the following actions:

– unscrew the thermofilters located about the amplifier of a steering for access to nuts of fastening of a final collector;
– unscrew nuts and remove from a head of the block of cylinders back section of a final collector. Remove laying.

20. Note an arrangement of the tire of grounding and the arms, fastening bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
21. After unscrewing of the top bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine lift a transmission in a starting position.
22. Unscrew the remained two bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine, then move a transmission from the engine so that to take an entrance shaft of a transmission from a coupling disk. When moving a transmission the entrance shaft of a transmission should not hang on coupling. At performance of this work be careful not to damage the working cylinder of coupling with a hydraulic tube.
23. After an exit of an entrance shaft of a transmission from coupling, being careful, lower a transmission and take it from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check and, if necessary, center a coupling disk.
2. Before installation of a transmission check availability of greasing on the mechanism of switching off of coupling.
3. Check a bearing condition in an end face of a cranked shaft.
4. Grease shlitsa of an entrance shaft of a transmission with a thin layer of greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide.
5. Establish through a wooden bar a transmission on a jack and lift it on the place.
6. At a raising of a transmission check, that the working cylinder of coupling with a hydraulic tube were not clamped between a transmission and a car body.
7. Move a transmission to the engine, thus the entrance shaft of a transmission should enter into grooves of a disk of coupling. For combination шлицов an entrance shaft of a transmission with shlitsa of a disk of coupling, probably, it is necessary to turn a cranked shaft of the engine slightly. At transmission installation the entrance shaft should not hang on a coupling disk.
8. Move a transmission forward so that the case of coupling was established on the block of cylinders of the engine. If necessary turn a transmission so that openings for bolts of fastening of a transmission were combined with openings in the engine.
9. Fix a transmission bolts. Thus check that the tire of grounding and arms which the same bolts fix, are established into place.
10. Further installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments.
11. If necessary establish a final collector with new laying.
12. If necessary remove air from hydraulic system of coupling.
13. Connect the driveshaft to a target flange of a transmission.
14. Establish an exhaust system.
15. Fill in oil in a transmission.
