1.4.1. 4-cylinder engines

Models with a replaced filtering element


Prevention

At replacement of a filtering element it is necessary to use new sealing rings for a coupling bolt and a roof of a casing of the air filter.

Sealing rings of round section
Establish new sealing rings of round section on a cover of a casing of the oil filter (1) and a coupling bolt (2).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew a coupling bolt and take it together with a cover of a casing of the oil filter. Remove sealing rings from a cover and a coupling bolt (see fig. An arrangement of a coupling bolt of fastening of a cover of a casing of the oil filter on models with 4-cylinder engines with a replaced filtering element).
2. Take filtering element from a casing of the oil filter (see fig. Extraction of a filtering element from a casing of the oil filter on 4-cylinder engines).
3. Weaken a drain stopper approximately on a turn half. Place the container for oil plum under a drain stopper and unscrew a stopper completely. If it is necessary, press a stopper when unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely. Remove ring consolidation from a masloslivny stopper.
4. When oil completely will flow down, wipe everything round a drain opening a rag and reliably screw up a stopper into place.
5. Establish the car on an equal horizontal surface.
6. Wipe a casing of the oil filter and a cover and establish a new filtering element in a casing. Establish new sealing rings on a cover and a coupling bolt (see fig. Sealing rings of round section).
7. Establish a cover on a casing of the oil filter and fix it a bolt, having tightened it the demanded moment.
8. Take щуп for measurement of level of oil and remove a stopper from a maslozalivny mouth.
9. Fill in oil in the engine, using the corresponding grade of oil. Fill in a half of necessary amount of oil and wait some minutes that oil flew down in the pallet. Then continue to pour oil in the small portions while level of oil will not reach a minimum level on щупе. At addition about 1 more liter level of oil will rise to maximum on щупе. Close a cover of a jellied mouth.
10. Start the engine and let's to it work some minutes. Check it about leakages of oil round the filter and a drain stopper on the pallet. Keep in mind that the control bulb of pressure of oil can burn some seconds as oil should fill all channels and oil capacities in the engine.
11. Switch off the engine and wait some minutes that oil flew down in the pallet. Check level of oil and add, if it is necessary.

Models with the replaced filter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Use the special tool to weaken the oil filter, then unscrew it a hand (see fig. An arrangement of the oil filter on 4-cylinder engines with the replaced oil filter).
2. Wipe all traces of oil and dirt round a place of fastening of the filter. Check, whether there was a rubber consolidation on the block of cylinders. If it remained, remove it.
3. Grease with a thin layer of engine oil rubber consolidation of the new oil filter and screw up the filter a hand, without using any tools.
4. Weaken a drain stopper approximately on a turn half. Place the container for oil plum under a drain stopper and unscrew a stopper completely. If it is necessary, press a stopper when unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely. Remove ring consolidation from a masloslivny stopper.
