22.10. Support repair

22.10.1. Models with a mobile support and one piston

GENERAL INFORMATION

1–piston;

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Being careful, clear a support of a brake dust and dirt.
2. Take the piston from a support for what it is possible to use air under the low pressure submitted to the brake cylinder through an opening for connection of a brake hose. Thus instead of brake shoes establish wooden whetstone.
3. Using a small screw-driver, take a sealing ring from a flute in a support opening.
4. Wash out all details in methyl alcohol or pure brake liquid and wipe them. For pro-cleaning of tubes and openings use the compressed air.
5. Check a condition of all details of a support and replace the worn-out or damaged details. Check a condition of directing fingers.
6. Special attention turn on the cylinder and the piston. In the presence of scratches, рисок, wear or dot corrosion it is necessary to replace the piston and the cylinder, and it means that it is necessary to replace a support assembled.
7. Irrespective of a condition, replace all rubber consolidations.
8. At repair of a support check, that all details were pure and dry.
9. Dip the piston and a new sealing ring of the piston into brake liquid and apply a thin film brake liquid on an opening for the piston in a support.
10. Establish a sealing ring in a flute in a support opening.
11. Establish a dustproof cover on the piston so that internal diameter of a cover was included into a piston flute. Being careful, and at the same time turning, insert the piston into a support and at the same time insert an external edge of a dustproof cover into a support before its fixing (see drawing).
12. At installation of new directing fingers grease their surface with special greasing and establish protective covers of directing fingers in flutes of fingers. Insert directing fingers in the holder of a support and at the same time enter protective covers into flutes of the holder of a support.
