22.17. Pedal of the parking brake

Removal

Elements of a pedal of the parking brake
 
4–squeezing pedal lever;
15-pedal of the parking brake;
17-cable of the parking brake;
21-switch of a control lamp;
23-bolts;
24-fastening of a cover of a cable;
27-cable of the parking brake

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove furnish of the lower part of the dashboard from the driver.
2. Release the parking brake and, rotating a cable regulator, establish it in such situation that a cable could move as much as possible.
3. Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the pedal lever, then release a cable cover from a pedal arm (see drawing).
4. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a pedal of the parking brake to the body panel.
5. Disconnect the electric socket from the switch of a control lamp, then remove a cable of the parking brake from the squeezing lever of a pedal and remove a pedal from under the panel.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Adjust operation of the parking brake.
