GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At installation of cross-section steering draft it is necessary to use new nuts of fastening of spherical hinges.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tighten the parking brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
2. Unscrew the nuts, fixing spherical hinges of cross-section steering bent for to a rotary fist and the intermediate lever or a steering soshka. Using a stripper, remove spherical hinges and take cross-section steering draft from under the car.
3. Check that spherical hinges of cross-section steering draft freely and smoothly move, and their protective covers have no cracks and damages. If spherical hinges have люфт or are hardly turned, and also have mechanical damages, it is necessary to replace them. If protective covers of spherical hinges are damaged, replace them, also having filled spherical hinges with fresh lubricant.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear pins of spherical hinges of steering draft. If new assembly of cross-section steering draft is established, check length of draft. The distance between centers spherical hinges should make 333 ± 2 mm.
2. Establish cross-section steering draft into place, thus keep in mind that the internal hinge is fixed by a clip, and external - a lock-nut and a coupling ring. Establish pins of spherical hinges in an opening of a rotary fist and the intermediate lever or a steering soshka.
3. Screw on spherical hinges new nuts and tighten them the demanded moment.
4. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth and tighten the demanded moment bolts of fastening of a wheel. Check and, if necessary, adjust a convergence of forward wheels.
