23.4. Nave of a forward wheel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The bearing of a nave of a forward wheel is pressed in a rotary fist therefore at removal there is a high probability of its damage and, probably, its replacement is required.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a forward brake disk. On models with anti-blocking system remove the ABS sensor from a forward wheel.
2. Using a screw-driver or a drift, remove the protective cap located in the center of a nave of a forward wheel. At damage of a protective cap at removal it is necessary to replace it (see fig. Screw-driver use for removal of a protective cap from a nave of a forward wheel).
3. At existence remove a spring from a nave axis (see fig. Removal of a spring from a nave axis).
4. Weaken tightening a bolt fixing a nut of fastening of a nave from unscrewing, then unscrew a nut and remove it from a nave axis. At existence remove a persistent washer (see fig. Weakening of the tightening bolt, fixing a nut of a nave of a forward wheel, Unscrewing of a nut of fastening of a nave of a forward wheel).
5. Remove a nave of a forward wheel from a rotary fist. If the nave does not act in film, it is necessary to use a stripper.
6. If the internal ring of the bearing remained on a rotary fist, using a stripper, remove it from a nave axis, then remove a sealing ring of a nave.
7. Check a condition of a pin of a rotary fist and, if necessary, replace.

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take from a nave an internal ring of the external bearing.
2. From a back part of naves remove a sealing ring and then take an internal ring of the internal bearing.
3. Establish a nave on the corresponding opravka and, using a hammer and a drift, beat out an internal ring of the external bearing. Thus do not warp a ring not to damage a bearing nest in a nave.
4. Overturn a nave and similarly beat out an external ring of the internal bearing.
5. Clear a nave of dirt and greasing and, using an emery paper, polish agnails on a nave. Check a nave condition on existence of cracks, wear and mechanical damages and, if necessary, replace. On models with anti-blocking system check a condition of a gear rotor of the sensor.
6. Before assembly apply a thin film greasings on an external ring of the bearing and an interfaced surface of a nave. Also grease racetracks of an internal ring.
7. Establish a nave on an opravka and establish an external ring of the internal bearing in a nave. Using the tubular opravka leaning on an external ring of the bearing, and a press, press a bearing ring in a nave against the stop. At a press fitting do not warp a bearing ring.
8. Overturn a nave and similarly press in a nave an external ring of the external bearing.
9. Establish an internal ring of the internal bearing. On a back part of a nave establish a sealing ring working edges to the bearing. Fill bearings with the greasing making two thirds of full volume of greasing, then establish an internal ring of the external bearing.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply a thin film greasings on a back part of a sealing ring of a nave and establish a nave on a pin of a rotary fist.
2. Establish a persistent washer and screw a nut of fastening of a nave.
3. Screwing up a nut of fastening of a nave, press internal rings of the bearing of a nave on a pin of a rotary fist. After installation of a nave adjust axial люфт the nave bearing. After carrying out adjustment tighten tightening a bolt fixing a nut of fastening of a nave from unscrewing.
4. Establish a spring on a pin of a rotary fist.
5. Establish on a nave a protective cap with greasing.
6. Establish a brake disk and, at existence, the sensor of a forward wheel of anti-blocking system of brakes.
