23.8. Bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket

Removal

Unscrewing of nuts from sharnirny bolts of fastening of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tighten the hand brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
2. Unscrew screws and remove an engine mudguard from the lower part of a motor compartment.
3. Unscrew the nuts, fixing a collar of the stabilizer of cross-section stability to a forward part of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket and remove from the stabilizer a rubber pillow.
4. Using the special adaptation for compression of springs, compress a spring so that it departed from the top fastening. When using the special adaptation for compression of springs watch, that rounds of a spring were reliably grasped, and compression of a spring make from the opposite sides.
5. A jack through wooden whetstone support the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket.
6. Unscrew a nut and take tightening a bolt, fixing a pin of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket to a rotary fist. Being careful, lower the bottom lever, taking a pin of the spherical hinge from a clip of a rotary fist so that it was possible to remove a cylindrical spring from a basic cup.
7. Using paint, note the provision of ekstsentrikovy washers of sharnirny bolts of fastening of the bottom lever to the bottom frame. It is necessary for installation of the bottom lever in a starting position for preservation of corners of disorder and a convergence of forward wheels.
8. Unscrew nuts of fastening of sharnirny bolts of the bottom lever both take bolts and remove ekstsentrikovy washers (see drawing).
9. Take the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket from under the car.

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket of dirt and check its condition on existence of cracks, deformation or mechanical damages. Special attention turn on a condition of plugs of fastening of the lever and the spherical hinge. If plugs or the spherical hinge of the bottom lever are subject to replacement, replacement is necessary for making in a specialized workshop as use of a hydraulic press and special opravka for this purpose is necessary.
2. Check a condition of a protective cover of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever on existence of gaps, cracks or aging and, if necessary, replace.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket on a place and insert forward and back sharnirny bolts with ekstsentrikovy washers. A forward sharnirny bolt establish from the back party of the car, and a back bolt - from the forward party of the car. Establish ekstsentrikovy washers in situation in which they were before removal. Screw new nuts on sharnirny bolts, but do not tighten them finally.
2. Check that the bottom basic plate of a spring pure, then establish the top basic plate on a spring and establish a spring with the top plate into place.
3. Turn a cylindrical spring so that its bottom end correctly settled down in the bottom nest of a spring. Establish the top basic plate of a spring under fastening and, being careful, lift the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket, thus at the same time level a pin of the spherical hinge with an opening of a rotary fist.
4. Check correctness of placement of a spring, then insert tightening a bolt of fastening of a pin of the spherical hinge to a rotary fist. Screw on tightening a bolt a new nut and tighten it the demanded moment. For prevention of corrosion fill with hermetic a crack of a clip of a pin of the spherical hinge in a rotary fist.
5. Establish a rubber pillow on the stabilizer of cross-section stability, establish it on the bottom lever, then establish a collar of fastening and screw in new bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
6. Take a jack from under the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket, then remove from a cylindrical spring the adaptation for compression of springs. Check correctness of an arrangement of the ends of a spring.
7. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the demanded moment.
8. Shake the car for the correct installation of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket.
9. Check that ekstsentrikovy washers of sharnirny bolts of fastening of the bottom lever are established according to the labels put earlier, and tighten nuts of fastening of sharnirny bolts the demanded moment.
