26.9. Suspension bracket and steering

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Before determination of malfunction of a suspension bracket or a steering check pressure in tires, lack of a podtormozhivaniye of wheels and that on the car identical tires are established.


The car withdraws in one party

• The tire is faulty.
• Strong wear of elements of a suspension bracket or steering.
• Corners of installation of forward wheels are incorrectly adjusted.
• Damage at failure of an element of a steering and a suspension bracket.

Palpation and wheel vibration

• Not отбалансированы forward wheels. Thus vibration is felt on a steering wheel.
• Back wheels are not balanced. Thus vibration is transferred to all car.
• Damage or deformation of wheels.
• Damage or tire deformation.
• Wear of spherical hinges, plugs or elements of a steering or forward suspension bracket.
• Bolts of fastening of wheels are weakened.

When braking and on turns there is a loud scratch

• Shock-absorbers are faulty.
• The spring of a suspension bracket is damaged or gave or suspension bracket elements are faulty.
• Damage of the stabilizer of cross-section stability or elements of its fastening.

The car withdraws in different directions

• Corners of installation of forward wheels are incorrectly adjusted.
• Wear of spherical hinges, plugs or elements of a steering or forward suspension bracket.
• Not отбалансированы wheels.
• Damage of tires.
• Weakened bolts of fastening of wheels.
• Shock-absorbers are faulty.

Hard steering

• The spherical hinge of a steering or the spherical hinge of a suspension bracket is jammed.
• Damage or the wrong adjustment of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt on models with the amplifier of a steering.
• Corners of installation of forward wheels are incorrectly adjusted.
• Steering draft or steering transfer are damaged.

• The rubber coupling of an intermediate shaft of a steering column is worn-out.
• Spherical hinges of steering drafts are worn-out.
• Steering transfer is worn-out.
• Spherical hinges of the plug and steering or suspension bracket elements are worn-out.

Efficiency of the amplifier of a steering is reduced

• Damage or the wrong adjustment of a tension of an auxiliary driving belt on models with the amplifier of a steering.
• Low level of liquid in the amplifier of a steering.
• Hoses in hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering are hammered.
• The pump of the amplifier of a steering is faulty.
• Steering transfer is faulty.

Strong wear of tires

Strong wear along the edges of a tire protector

• Low pressure in tires. Thus tires wear out from two parties equally.
• Disorder or a corner of a longitudinal inclination of an axis of turn of a wheel are incorrectly adjusted. The tire only on the one hand thus wears out.
• Spherical hinges of the plug and steering or suspension bracket elements are worn-out.
• Damage at failure of an element of a steering and a suspension bracket.
