Replacement of cooling liquid

PLUMS OF COOLING LIQUID
Prevention

Replacement of cooling liquid is made on the cold engine. Avoid hit of cooling liquid on the painted surfaces of a body and clothes. Otherwise wash out a place where cooling liquid a plentiful quantity of water got.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a broad tank (see fig. Removal of a cover from a broad tank).
2. Establish under a radiator to a sootvetstvo the yushchy container and dress on a drainage tip a rubber hose (see fig. An arrangement of a drainage tip for plum of cooling liquid). Using a big screw-driver, open the drain stopper located under a tip and merge cooling liquid through a hose in the container.
3. Establish the corresponding container under a drain stopper of the block of cylinders of the engine which is located on the right forward side of the block of cylinders (see fig. A stopper arrangement plum of cooling liquid from the block of cylinders of the engine). Open a drain stopper, turning it a wrench, and merge cooling liquid from the block of cylinders of the engine.
4. After plum of cooling liquid remove a drainage hose and close jams on a radiator and the block of cylinders.

WASHING OF SYSTEM OF COOLING

Cooling liquid is necessary for changing periodically, and system of cooling to wash out, as in channels of system the rust and dirt is formed.

The radiator is necessary for washing out irrespective of the engine.

RADIATOR WASHING

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect hoses from a radiator.
2. Insert a hose into an entrance opening of the top tank of a radiator, include water and wash out a radiator before emergence at its finest from the bottom tank of a radiator.
3. If it is not possible to wash out a radiator pure water, use detergent.

ENGINE WASHING

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the thermostat and temporarily establish a thermostat cover.
2. Disconnect from a radiator hoses and submit through a hose a stream at its finest to the block of cylinders of the engine through the top hose of a radiator and wash out it before emergence from the bottom hose conducting to a radiator at its finest.
3. Establish the thermostat and connect hoses of system of cooling.

FILLING OF SYSTEM OF COOLING

Water filling in a broad tank
If replacement of cooling liquid was made, first of all fill in in a broad tank of 2 liters of water.

Filling of a concentrate of antifreeze
Further fill in demanded quantity of a concentrate of antifreeze and pure water while level will not reach a label a move on a broad tank.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before filling of system of cooling check that all hoses and collars in a good condition. Pay attention that the mix of antifreeze should be used all the year round for предотвра a corrosion shcheniye.
2. Uncover a broad tank.
3. Slowly fill in cooling liquid until level will not reach a label a move on a broad tank.
4. If replacement of cooling liquid was made, at first fill in 2 liters at its finest in a broad tank, then fill in demanded quantity of a concentrate of antifreeze and other water (see fig. Water filling in a broad tank, Filling of a concentrate of antifreeze).
5. For air removal from system of cooling compress the top and bottom hoses of a radiator. After removal of air add cooling liquid to a label a move on a broad tank and establish a stopper.
6. Start the engine and warm up it to working temperature.
7. Stop the engine and cool it, then check level of cooling liquid.

ANTIFREEZE

Antifreeze represents a mix of the distilled water with a concentrate этиленгликоля. Antifreeze provides protection of system of cooling against corrosion and increases a boiling point of cooling liquid. The quantity этиленгликоля in antifreeze depends on weather service conditions of the car and makes from 40 to 70 %.
