3.17. Replacement of sealing rings of a cranked shaft

Forward sealing ring

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a pulley cranked a shaft / quencher of krutilny fluctuations and a nave.
2. Measure depth of installation of a forward sealing ring.
3. Drill in a sealing ring two small openings located in the opposite ends of a sealing ring. Screw in two self-cutting screws in the drilled openings of a sealing ring and, using flat-nose pliers, extend for screw heads a sealing ring.
4. It is alternatively possible to take a sealing ring, using a screw-driver edge as the lever, but thus be careful not to damage a nest of a sealing ring.
5. Check a condition of the rasporny plug on the forward party of a cranked shaft and, if necessary, replace it.
6. Clear a nest for a sealing ring.
7. Dip a new sealing ring into pure engine oil and, using a tubular opravka of the corresponding diameter, establish a sealing ring in a nest on demanded depth. Previously close an end face of the rasporny plug a sticky tape not to damage working edges of a sealing ring at installation.
8. Remove a sticky tape from the end of the rasporny plug.
9. Establish a pulley cranked a shaft / quencher of krutilny fluctuations and a nave.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a drive flywheel / plate.
2. Measure depth of installation of a sealing ring.
3. Take a back sealing ring the same method, as a forward sealing ring.
4. Check a condition of a surface of the cranked shaft contacting to a sealing ring. At wear of a surface of a cranked shaft it is necessary to replace a cranked shaft.
5. Clear a nest for a sealing ring.
6. Dip a new sealing ring into pure engine oil and, using a tubular opravka of the corresponding diameter, establish a sealing ring in a nest on demanded depth. Previously close a sticky tape a back end face of a cranked shaft not to damage working edges of a sealing ring at installation.
7. Remove a sticky tape from a cranked shaft.
8. Establish a drive flywheel / plate.
