4.17. Replacement of sealing rings

FORWARD SEALING RING OF THE CAMSHAFT

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a casing of the fan of a radiator and arrange it on a krylchatka of the fan.
2. Press fixing brackets and remove a casing of the distributor of ignition. Disconnect the central high-voltage wire from a cover of the distributor of ignition. Unscrew three screws, uncover and, without disconnecting from it high-voltage wires, move a distributor cover aside.
3. Unscrew three screws and remove a distributor rotor.
4. Unscrew the central bolt and remove a drive of a rotor of the distributor (see fig. Unscrewing of the central bolt for removal of a drive of a rotor of the distributor).
5. Drill in a sealing ring two small openings located in the opposite ends of consolidation. Screw in two самонарезаю shchy the screw in the drilled openings of a sealing ring and, using flat-nose pliers, extend for heads of screws a sealing ring.
6. Clear a nest of a sealing ring.
7. For protection of working edges of a sealing ring at its installation wrap up a sticky tape a camshaft end face.
8. Using a tubular opravka of the corresponding diameter, establish a new sealing ring.
9. Remove a sticky tape from a forward end face of a camshaft.
10. Further installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

FORWARD SEALING RING OF THE CRANKED SHAFT

Extraction of a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a pulley cranked a shaft / quencher of krutilny fluctuations and a nave.
2. Measure depth of installation of a sealing ring.
3. Using a screw-driver edge, take a sealing ring from a nest (see fig. Extraction of a forward sealing ring of a cranked shaft).
4. Alternatively, drill in a sealing ring two small openings located in the opposite ends of a sealing ring.
5. Screw in two self-cutting screws in the drilled openings of a sealing ring and, using flat-nose pliers, extend for heads of screws a sealing ring.
6. Clear a nest of a sealing ring.
7. For protection of working edges of a sealing ring at its installation wrap up a sticky tape an end face of a cranked shaft.
8. Dip a new sealing ring into pure engine oil and, using a tubular opravka of the corresponding diameter, establish a sealing ring in a nest on earlier measured depth.
9. Remove a sticky tape from an end face of a cranked shaft.
10. Establish a pulley cranked a shaft / quencher of krutilny fluctuations and a nave.

BACK SEALING RING OF THE CRANKED SHAFT

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a drive flywheel / plate.
2. Measure depth of installation of a sealing ring. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, take a sealing ring from a nest.
3. Alternatively drill in a sealing ring two small openings, located in the opposite ends of consolidation. Screw in two self-cutting screws in the drilled openings of a sealing ring and, using flat-nose pliers, extend for heads of screws a sealing ring.
4. Check a condition of a surface of the cranked shaft contacting to a sealing ring. In the presence of strong wear it is necessary to replace a cranked shaft.
5. Clear a nest for a sealing ring and the surface of a cranked shaft contacting to a sealing ring.
6. For protection of working edges of a sealing ring from damage at its installation wind an end face of a cranked shaft with a sticky tape.
7. Dip a new sealing ring into pure engine oil and, using a tubular opravka of the corresponding diameter, establish a sealing ring in a nest on earlier measured depth.
8. Remove a sticky tape from an end face of a cranked shaft.
9. Establish a drive flywheel / plate.
