7.8.5. Cleaning and survey of a head of the block of cylinders

GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of planeness of a head of the block of cylinders

Measurement of a vystupaniye of the vortical chamber from a head of the block of cylinders

Carefully examine a head of the block of cylinders on existence of cracks and other damages. In the presence of cracks the head is subject to replacement.

Using a metal ruler and щуп, check planeness of an interfaced surface of a head of the block of cylinders. At not planeness more than 0,1 mm it is necessary перешлифовать a head, thus its height should correspond to requirements.

Check a condition of saddles of valves. If they are burned, worn-out or have defects, it is necessary to replace them. If wear of a saddle of the valve is insignificant, they are necessary for grinding in. Check directing plugs of valves on wear, inserting into them a core of the valve and moving it aside. Moving should be insignificant. If moving is excessive, take the valve and measure diameter of a core of the valve. If necessary replace the valve. If the core of the valve is not worn-out, means, the directing plug which it is necessary to replace is worn-out. Replacement of directing plugs of valves should be made at service station.

If saddles of valves have to be перешлифованы, this operation is necessary for executing after installation of new directing valves.

On diesel engines examine vortical chambers on existence of damages and splits. Small cracks are admissible. Replacement of vortical chambers is necessary, if they are strongly burned and deformed, or landing weakened them in a head of the block of cylinders. The expert should make replacement of the vortical chamber. Check a vystupaniye of the vortical chamber from the block of cylinders. For check of a vystupaniye establish an arm with the indicator of hour type on an interfaced surface of a head of the block of cylinders. Establish a measuring tip of the indicator on a head surface. Establish the indicator on 0, then move an indicator tip on the vortical chamber. On a scale of the indicator read size of a vystupaniye of the vortical chamber. Similarly check a vystupaniye of other vortical chambers.
