9.11. Removal and carburetor installation

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Removal of the carburetor make on the cold engine. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Using clips, press submitting and returnable fuel hoses, then weaken collars and remove hoses from the carburetor.
4. For pressure removal in system of cooling uncover a broad tank. Using clips, press hoses of supply of cooling liquid to the carburetor, weaken collars and remove hoses from the carburetor.
Prevention

In the absence of clips partially merge cooling liquid from cooling system.


5. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the butterfly valve lever.
6. On the PIERBURG carburetor disconnect additional draft from a control lever on the carburetor.
7. On cars with an automatic transmission disconnect from the carburetor a cable of management of pressure.
8. Mark and disconnect from the carburetor electric sockets. Unscrew the screw and remove from the carburetor the grounding tire.
9. Mark and disconnect from the carburetor vacuum hoses.
10. Unscrew an arm of support of an inlet collector. Unscrew bolts and remove the carburetor from an inlet collector. Remove an intermediate plate and laying.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. At installation of the carburetor use new laying.
3. Bolts and screws of fastening tighten the demanded moment.
4. According to earlier made marking connect submitting and returnable fuel hoses.
5. According to earlier made marking connect to the carburetor electric sockets.
6. Connect to the carburetor hoses of supply of cooling liquid and add cooling liquid in cooling system.
7. On cars with an automatic transmission connect to the carburetor a cable of management of pressure.
8. Check and, if necessary, add oil in the carburetor shock-absorber.
9. Start the engine and check turns of idling and the contents WITH in exhaust gases.
